For those of you who have attended graduate school to become a therapist, you’ve probably heard a variation of “if you’re here to make money, you’ve come to the wrong place.”

Let me be the first to tell you, statements like this are only partially true.

Yes, we all stepped into this field in order to support our communities, help individuals, couples, and families become better versions of themselves, transcending any past traumas and wounds, etc.. AND you are still worthy of financial abundance. 

SO IT'S TIME TO BUST THIS MYTH. 

Therapists, and healers of any kind, can not only desire a thriving business, but be successful business owners as well. As we teach our clients often, it doesn’t have to be “this or that” “black or white” “right or wrong.”  We must remember "AND." 

You can be a healer AND a business person.

You can do this work out of the kindness of your heart AND earn money doing it.

You can value service AND financial security.

IT CAN BE BOTH.

Our internal dialogue may be stuck in our professors words, but it is time to rewrite the narrative.  As a healer and business owner, you CAN work towards financial abundance while still being accessible.  Perhaps you hold a few client spots that are sliding scale.  Or maybe you start a secondary business to coach other therapists in a certain niche.  The possibilities are endless! 

So here is your permission slip to confidently desire both.  You are capable of authentically creating a healing business to serve others while also receiving abundance yourself. When we get down to it, money = energy. The more energy we put into our work, the more we deserve to receive. Don’t be scared of the possibilities, you are worthy!  The only requirement is to remain aligned, authentic, and in your power.
